As the years go by, Gabi feels less and less at home in the two genders on offer and must come to terms with how the world will see and treat them.
Engeli Broberg’s impressive debut feature documentary follows Gabi, a kid who is not interested in fitting into the mold of gender norms, from age eight to thirteen.
Director Engeli Broberg follows Gabi over five years, creating a tactful and up-close portrait that lets us take part in and discover Gabi’s world, genuinely and sincerely, and always portrayed from Gabi’s perspective.
