His three successive films- “Bhrashtachar” (1989), “Akayla” (1991), and “Zamaana Deewana” (1995) were flops on the box office. Due to this, he didn’t direct any movie till 2015. However, he made a comeback in the Hindi Film Industry in 2003 as a Producer with the film “Kuch Naa Kaho;” which was directed by his son Rohan Sippy.
