Om Prakash Bhatt (born 7 March 1951) is an Indian banker and was the Chairman of State Bank of India from June 2006 until 31 March 2011 [1] [2] Presently, he is an independent director on the board of the 'Maharatna' Central Public Sector Enterprise - Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), Tata Steel Ltd and also Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL).
He was also Chairman of Indian Banks’ Association, the apex body of Indian banks and has served as India’s economic diplomacy as government’s nominee on the India-US CEO Forum, Indo-French CEO Forum and Indo-Russia CEO Forum, forging links with a cross section of the world’s business leaders.
