Varun Grover (born 26 January 1980) is an Indian writer, comedian, poet, actor and filmmaker. He won the award for Best Lyricist at the 63rd National Film Awards in 2015. He is also the co-creator of Aisi Taisi Democracy, a political satire show. His debut feature All India Rank was the closing film at the 52nd IFFR.
He went on to graduate in Civil Engineering from IIT-BHU (Varanasi) in 2003. The friendships he made in Lucknow and Varanasi shaped his life and decisions for a future as a full-time writer. After working as a software consultant in an MNC in Pune, he moved to Mumbai in 2004 to chase his dream of becoming a writer.
