He composed music for various films that include Saudagar (1973), Chor Machaye Shor (1974), Geet Gaata Chal (1975), Chitchor (1976), Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), for which he won the Filmfare Best Music Director award.
