Darren Lemke (born 1969/1970) is an American screenwriter who has been active in the film industry since the late 1990s. His first major screenwriting credit was for Shrek Forever After (2010), which he wrote with Josh Klausner. Lemke directed the thriller film Lost (2004), which he also wrote.
In February 2024, Darren Lemke was revealed to have co-written the screenplay. Mitchell described Kung Fu Panda 4 as a love letter to the first film. Despite its connections to previous entries in the series, he wanted the story to stand on its own.
Ever since his big break, Lemke has been a part of quite a few popular films like Jack the Giant Slayer, and Turbo in 2013, Goosebumps (2015), Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018). As of 2019, he has been associated with the DC superhero film Shazam!
