In 1986, Joseph Toufik Merhi and Richard Joseph Pepin, indie film directors and producers, founded the production company City Lights Entertainment with Ronald L. Gilchrist for their first movies, the comedy Hollywood In Trouble and slasher film Mayhem.
Today, Merhi actively invests in real estate projects in addition to a wide variety of businesses. His portfolio consists of luxurious single family homes, apartment complexes, hotels, comedy clubs, restaurants, production studios, and retail.
Joseph Toufik Merhi (born October 23, 1953) in Syria, is an indie film director and producer. In 1984, along with fellow director Richard Pepin, Merhi founded the production company City Lights, which changed name a few years after to PM Entertainment.
