Aug 20, 2021 · While most lauded the new set of superheroes that the film poses to introduce, eagle-eyed fans noticed that at the bottom of the film's poster, director Chloe Zhao is credited as the movie’s writer twice! The official poster of the film credits Zhao twice as a writer. It reads, "written by Chloe Zhao and Chloe Zhao & Patrick Burleigh".
At the end of May 2021, with the release of the first teaser trailer and poster for the film, the official writing credits were revealed: Zhao was credited as the screenwriter, both as a solo contributor and as part of a writing team with Burleigh, while Ryan and Kaz Firpo received story credit.
