May 6, 2002 · Sunder (Govinda) comes from his village to the big city. He is naive, easily influenced, and illiterate. His attempts to influence girls are mocked, and he is ignored and made fun of by his roommates. One day, he befriends an NRI, Payal Khurana (Rani Mukerji), who thinks he is disabled and dumb.
A villager pretends to be disabled in order to be near an NRI (Non-Resident Indian). Naive, easily influenced and illiterate Sunder re-locates from a village to the city. His attempts to woo girls are mocked, and he is ignored and made fun of by his room-mates.
Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai is a remake of Tamil Movie, Sollamale. The story is about an illiterate boy who comes from a village to a big city and tries to influence girls. The story takes a turn when an illiterate simpleton pretends to be disabled in order to win the compassion of a smart city girl.
