In 1970, a larger manufacturing plant was established in Jaipur. Another manufacturing plant was established in New Delhi in the early 1990s.
The brand was founded by Ganga Bishan Agarwal, popularly known as Haldiram Ji, in 1937. He started with a small shop selling traditional Indian sweets and snacks, particularly bhujia.
