Gokhale Memorial Girls' School was founded on the 20 th of April 1920 by Smt. Sarala Ray. She worked out a scheme to prove that "Education meant development of thought and culture- that education brought in wider outlook of life."
FEES REGULATION. Fees for 2 months only at a time to be paid at the beginning of New Session, fees for 2 months to be paid before the Puja vacation and Fees for March to be cleared by 10th of February. Parents/Guardians may deposit advance fees at their discretion.

History. Sarala Ray, popularly known as Mrs. P. K. Ray, a great social reformer and educationist, founded the Gokhale Memorial Girls' School in 1920. A pioneer among Bengali women to aspire for Higher Education, she was one of the first Indian women to acquire a University degree.
