The online thing is new to all of us, you could just ask with that context in mind if you're worried about 'outing' yourself as a grammarly user. I think you would feel better to have the clarity. If you're able to update, I'd love to hear their response!
Sep 18, 2020 · If Grammarly isn't smart, they may log spell checks internally. If they get hacked, all your documents are also with them. Simply put, if data is leaving your organization, it needs to be reviewed. As an attacker if I knew a target of mine used Grammarly, I'd probably try to attack Grammarly to get to my target.
Nov 30, 2021 · Unless grammarly has somehow developed an AI that is going to be injecting interpretive suggestions and original content, no, of course not. It's a spelling and grammar checker. It's really not much different to the one in Word that's been used systematically by people for decades. Improving clarity of writing is somethinbg we should all be doing.
Apr 24, 2022 · They run Grammarly engine from their servers, unfourtanately I think there will never be a crack. Pretty good software, though. Their AI is amazing, helped me a lot but I didn't renovate my 1 year subscription.

Jul 14, 2023 · Sadly I agree - I loved Grammarly while I was doing my degree and have kept it through in my working life however downgraded to free a while ago. I am certain that they keep moving suggestions over to the Premium, to the point that Grammarly is now just a spell checker and nothing more.
Mar 18, 2021 · Grammarly should be used as a guide and probably a final proofreader to help you find any nasty mistakes you may have missed. I use Grammarly premium and I find it quite useful, especially for proofreading. Then again, you can't get worked up just because grammarly finds 30 errors in your work. Most of them are often suggestions, tones and styles.
I see Grammarly as a useful tool but not the final authority. Trust your instincts and voice, especially in creative writing where bending the rules can lead to more engaging prose. Tools like Grammarly can refine, but they don't replace your unique style. If you want to strengthen your grammar, consider books like "The Elements of Style."
