What an absolutely outstanding experience this was on our first ever visit to Macclesfield. The Silk Museum is an absolutely incredible legacy of an industry which dominated the town along with nearby Congleton and Leek (the so-called 'silk triangle') from the 18th century up to as recently as 1981.
