Nag Ashwin (born 23 April 1986) [1] is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema. He is the recipient of a National Film Award, a Nandi Award, and a Filmfare Award .

After finishing his schooling at Hyderabad Public School, Ashwin pursued his Bachelor's in Mass Communication from the Manipal Institute of Communication.
Nag Ashwin belongs to a family of doctors in Hyderabad, Telangana. In 2007, he began his career as an assistant director with the Telugu film Nenu Meeku Telusa?. Later, he worked as an assistant to the Indian film director Sekhar Kammula in Leader (2010) and Life Is Beautiful (2012).
