Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) is an all-girls’ residential school located in Gwalior – a historical city in Madhya Pradesh. The school was founded by the Late Rajmata of Gwalior, Srimant Vijaya Raje Scindia in 1956, with a view to promote education for the girl child in the newly independent India.
Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya was established in 1956. The school was inaugrated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the presence of their highness Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia, Maharani Vijayaraje Scindia and Mrs. Rajvanshi Devi Prasad. At the initial stage, the strength of the school was only 31 out of which 6 were the boarders. It is affiliated to C.B.S.E.

Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya has partnered with Univariety to cater to the career related needs of the students. On 12th October 2019, Ms Charu Malhotra from Univariety visited the school campus and conducted a workshop for parents on the importance of CV building and its role in the students’ life after they graduate from school.
