Aug 12, 2014 · Senior AIADMK leader M. Thambidurai is set to be elected Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha unopposed. All major parties, including the Congress, have extended support to his candidature. Thambidurai filed his nomination on Tuesday for the post and the first nomination was proposed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and seconded by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
