Vijayakanth. Alagarswami Vijayaraj (25 August 1952 – 28 December 2023), better known by his stage name Vijayakanth, was an Indian actor, film director, film producer, philanthropist and politician. He served as the leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 27 May 2011 to 21 February 2016.
