Valentino is an Italian fashion house established in 1960 by Valentino Garavani. The Italian fashion designer started his career in Paris in the fifties, assisting a number of designers such as Jean Dessès and Guy Laroche. He later decided to return to Rome to launch the House of Valentino with business partner Giancarlo Giammetti.
In 1960, Mr. Valentino co-founded his eponymous fashion house, the Maison Valentino, with Giancarlo Giammetti in Rome. Since his debut collection in 1962, Mr. Valentino’s designs which feature bold colours, luxurious and innovative fabrics, intricate embroidery, masterful draping, and impeccable craftsmanship, have captivated the fashion elite.
