Students applying for a bachelor of music degree will apply directly to the Eastman School of Music through their online application. Students applying for a dual degree (BM plus a BA or BS), will also need to submit an application to the College at the University of Rochester.
Jul 3, 2015 · Students will also select additional courses for a pedagogical core emphasis in General Music, Instrumental Music or Vocal Music, take elective courses in theory, composition or orchestration, take applied music lessons, and complete a culminating comprehensive examination.
The School offers the degrees bachelor of music (BM), master of music (MM), master of arts (MA), doctor of musical arts (DMA), and doctor of philosophy (PHD). In addition, the performer’s certificate (PC) and the artist’s certificate (AC) both recognize outstanding performance ability.
