Patrick Lavon Mahomes II (/ m ə ˈ h oʊ m z /; born September 17, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Mahomes has led the Chiefs to six consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances and four Super Bowl appearances since becoming the team's starting quarterback in 2018.

Biography. Mahomes enters his eighth season with the Chiefs in 2024 and his seventh year as the starter (2018-24). Mahomes is the youngest player ever to win both a league MVP and a Super Bowl title. He is the first player in the 21 st century to win both the league MVP and the Super Bowl MVP in the same season (2022).
