BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 20 James Edward Grant, a former news reporter who became one of Hollywood's most prolific screen writers, died of cancer yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was 61 years old.
James Edward Grant an American writer, producer, director and screenwriter born on July 2, 1905 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was best known for his work in The Alamo (1960), Angel and the Badman (1947), The Sheepman (1958) and McLintock! (1963). He won Western Heritage Award and has been nominated for Academy Award.
