ABOUT RAVENSHAW. Ravenshaw is the oldest and the best known centre for higher education in Odisha. It has a legacy of 150 years as a College and is proud to have trained some of the best minds. And yet, it is a young University which is hardly twelve years old.
The department has full-time teachers, seven demonstrators, three office assistants, one library assistant and five attendants. The department has own library with over 5000 titles. All the books in the library have been barcoded, and the issue and return of the books have been automated.

The department holds an entrance test every year around May and the qualified candidates are called for an interview. Final selection of the candidates is done based on their performance in entrance and interview. GATE/ NET qualified candidates can apply anytime throughout the year.
