Jun 16, 2023 · 4. The Shire Country Park. Finally in this part of Birmingham, before moving on, we have this country park which has been named after Tolkien’s creation. In Tolkien’s time it would have been just part of a greater countryside around the village but of course now it’s surrounded by the suburbs of the city.
