Vera Mindy Chokalingam (born June 24, 1979), known professionally as Mindy Kaling (/ ˈ k eɪ l ɪ ŋ /), is an American actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. Known for her work on television, she has received numerous accolades including two Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Tony Award , and six Primetime Emmy Awards nominations.
Developed and created by Charlie Grandy for HBO Max, it stars executive producer Mindy Kaling as the voice of the titular character, with Sam Richardson, Constance Wu and Glenn Howerton in supporting roles. Grandy also serves as the showrunner of the series.
