Bridge to Terabithia Summary. As summer comes to an end, 10-year-old Jesse Oliver Aarons, Jr. —or Jess, as he likes to be called—spends every morning running through the fields behind his house in the rural town of Lark Creek, Virginia, determined to win the title of fastest runner in the fifth grade when school resumes.
The children create an imaginary world called Terabithia, which is inhabited by all manner of magical creatures. Though difficulties fill their ordinary lives, Jesse and Leslie rule as king and queen in Terabithia. Soon one of the friends must draw on the strength of their imaginary kingdom to cope with a tragedy. Kids & Family 2007 1 hr 35 min.
