Apr 24, 2022 · Its a free open source version of grammarly. They run Grammarly engine from their servers, unfourtanately I think there will never be a crack. Pretty good software, though. Their AI is amazing, helped me a lot but I didn't renovate my 1 year subscription. Grammarly for Android has been modded several times.

I'm currently working on an assignment and Googled "Is Grammarly getting worse?" because it gave me actual gobbledygook and random letters when I'm trying to use it. And what I thought was Microsoft Word and Grammarly having a correction-off, now I see on Google Sheets it's just as bad.
Sep 18, 2020 · Potential is all you need when making a security decision. Even if Grammarly isn't malicious, the concept of their application is essentially a focused keylogger. In order to spell check, it has to send back your entire document. If Grammarly isn't smart, they may log spell checks internally.
Nov 30, 2021 · Unless grammarly has somehow developed an AI that is going to be injecting interpretive suggestions and original content, no, of course not. It's a spelling and grammar checker. It's really not much different to the one in Word that's been used systematically by people for decades. Improving clarity of writing is somethinbg we should all be doing.

As far as the Writing Center goes, I use it whenever I feel like I don't feel confident about my understanding of the assignment, or if it's a big essay for class. They're really helpful, but submit early and give yourself time to get a response and to make the improvements.
