Oct 18, 2022 · Laverda continued to be seen for a few more years after that, mainly on rebadged Asian imports, before Piaggio’s buyout of Aprilia in 2004 led to the termination of Laverda two years later. Laverda’s mighty 990cc V6 was first developed in 1976 and featured four-valve heads, a double overhead camshaft, six carburettors and liquid cooling.
