On Tobe Hooper. To me, Tobe Hooper is the absolute greatest. I consider The Texas Chain Saw Massacre the greatest horror film ever made. His subsequent career was admittedly not as refined as other filmmakers’ like Carpenter, Romero, or Craven, but he was overall squelched by Hollywood producers meddling in his work.
