Jun 20, 2020 · Near Dark included a lot of back references to the previous book, “Backlash.” At first, they (the references) seemed unnecessary, but as the story progressed, they enhanced the current plot line. I was also very happy to see that the ‘little-man’ Nichols had returned although Thor barely mentioned his two dogs who won my heart in previous novels.
