Lal Krishna Advani (born 8 November 1927) is an Indian politician who served as the 7th Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004. He is one of the co-founders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist volunteer organization.

Dr Sanjay Lalwani, the officiating doctor for Advani, confirmed that the 96-year-old leader was discharged. Advani was admitted on Wednesday night and was kept under close observation. The hospital said he is stable. However, the condition of his ailment was not known.
