The first trial of a freight train with electric traction from New Sahnewal (Ludhiana) to New Khurja via New Khatauli on the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) was completed on 11.10.2023. This is a significant milestone as it marks the completion of the entire 1,337 km EDFC. The entire EDFC is now fully commissioned.
The first respondent was the owner of lands bearing Gata Nos.106, 118, 119, 123, 126 and 145 in village Kakrahi, District Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh.
