Tezaab was a big movie after N Chandra’s modest couple of films. He had made his name in the industry but, he was not in the mainstream cinema. The director started with Nana who did his previous 2 movies. But, he soon disappeared after a doing a schedule. Aditya Pancholi was signed to do the main lead.

The story is, on the whole, weak and barely coherent - the flashbacks-within-flashbacks narrative structure doesn't make it any easier to follow - and largely an extended excuse for motorcycle chases, explosions, and fistfights.
