Accordingly, Ministry of Labour & Employment has developed eShram portal for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with Aadhaar.
There is no need to renew the eShram card to the workers to regularly update their details, mobile number, current address etc. In order to keep his account active, he/she is required to update his account at least once in a year.

Aug 30, 2021 · In Short. The e-SHRAM portal covers unorganised workers and aims to implement social security schemes. The workers will be given a new e-SHRAM card which has a 12-digit UAN number. Registration on the portal is free of cost and beneficiaries will receive accidental insurance coverage through PMSBY.
