Good message, poor production. lhill2-302-685936 8 December 2019. There was so much promise for this film. Some really great actors, the story is heartwarming and the message is clear. I was in tears at the end. However, it felt like a chore to watch. 10 minutes in and I had the urge to fast forward.
Buttons: Directed by George W. Hill. With Jackie Coogan, Lars Hanson, Gertrude Olmstead, Paul Hurst. A young street orphan, Buttons, gets a job as a pageboy on an ocean liner.

Dec 8, 2020 · However, in the fashion of Christmas movies, BUTTONS is so heartwarming and delightful that a multitude of sins can be forgiven. Despite its poor script and bad direction, BUTTONS will still leave moviegoers smiling. Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury have a lot to do with that. Their portrayal of angels is as wholesome and entertaining as it gets.
