All in all, House of the Dead combines Lucio Fulci's setting, the Return of the Living Dead's zombies, a couple of references to George Romero's famous trilogy and lots of gore from all of the above to indeed create a very decent tribute to the 80's low budget horror movie genre, that is a must see for every fan.
