Keiji Inafune joined Capcom in 1987 at the ripe age of 22. As a graphic designer, Keiji's first task was to work as an illustrator on Street Fighter . Later on, with the surprising success of Nintendo 's Famicom system, Capcom wanted to produce a brand new game for the system and Keiji was promoted to be one of the leading artist on the new project entitled, "Rockman," (or " Mega Man " in North America).
