Feb 21, 2024 · MIT Inventor tells me I need aiStarter. You might be using the wrong Connect-> option. Don't use Connect->Emulator. Instead, start your Companion that you pre-loaded into MemuPlay, and have it sitting there waiting for you to give it the 6 letter connection code. Then ask AI2 for Connect->Companion to get the six letter code for your Project.
Dec 20, 2022 · Hello, aiStarter was working fine under Windows 10 Pro. It would open an emulator screen to test an app written here. Had to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, and now it doesn't work. The Emulator screen has a little screen open that shows, "Not Responding" instead of the emulator. aiStarter shows some info, and then loops continuously showing: 127.0.0.1 - - <time> "GET /echeck/ HTTP/1.1" 200 39 until I close it. The aiStarter program is installed on your computer when you install the App Inventor Setup software. It provides communication between App Inventor running in the browser, and other parts of App Inventor. Whenever you want to use the emulator or the USB cable, you need to make sure that aiStarter is running.

Sep 16, 2020 · If you are live testing with the emulator, you can ameliorate the problem by building 'in the blind', not using the emulator at all when you code changes that change your screen appearance. The slowest part of emulation with App Inventor is redrawing all the graphics. look at your Internet connection.
