Puneet Issar (born 6 November 1959) is an Indian actor, writer, director, producer and dialect coach best known for his works in Hindi films and television shows. Issar started his acting career as a villain in Manmohan Desai 's 1983 film Coolie , but gained recognition with the portrayal of Duryodhana in B. R. Chopra 's television series Mahabharat (1988–1990).

Sep 20, 2022 · Siddhant Issar, UMass PhD 2021 graduate, currently an Assistant Professor of Political Theory at the University of Louisville, won the 2022 Leo Strauss Award for his dissertation on "Thinkins with Black Lives Matter: Towards a Critical Theory of Racial Capitalism." His research and teaching interests lie in modern and contemporary political theory, particularly Black, Indigenous, and anti-colonial thought, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the politics of race, class, and empire.
