A poor but talented Kashmiri boy Noor, is hired as a stable-keeper by Begum. He is deeply infatuated with her daughter Firdaus. Begum notices his actions and sends Firdaus to London. She asks Noor to become successful in order to win Firdaus' love. When he grows up, he becomes one of the most successful young artist of India. But Begum has another plans to demolish his desires.

Major revelations in this bildungsroman are condensed into a mere span of a few minutes, and it doesn't quite achieve the desired effect.

Feb 14, 2016 · The time in this movie is all out of whack, by the way. Both in terms of characters ages, and the history of Kashmir. The present day stuff looks like it is filmed in the present day, like 2016, but the 15 years ago is I think supposed to be at the start of the recent militant movements, so that would be like mid-nineties.
