Siddharth is the grandson of screenwriter Inder Raj Anand who authored several films including the well-known Shahenshah and the son of producer Bittu Anand. After Shahenshah his father and his childhood friend and fellow actor Rishi Kapoor made two more movies but neither of them was successful and as a result of the losses he suffered his father left the entertainment sector and began his own clothing company.

Siddharth Anand (also known as Siddharth Raj Anand) is an Indian film director. He is the son of film producer Bittu Anand who produced the Amitabh Bachchan hit, Shahenshah. Anand's grandfather was screenwriter Inder Raj Anand who wrote 120 films including Safar, Sangam and Ek Duje Ke Liye.
Pathaan is the fourth installment in the shared universe directed by Siddharth Anand, and the first YRF Spy Universe movie to feature a mid-credits scene.
