Neeb Karori Baba ( Hindi: नीब करौरी बाबा, romanized : nīm karaulī bābā) [3] or Neeb Karori Baba ( Hindi: नीब करौरी बाबा, romanized : nīb karaurī bābā) ( c. 1900 – 11 September 1973), also known to his followers as 'Maharaj-ji', was a Hindu guru and a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman. [4] .

Originally named as Lakshmi Narayan, and known by many other names, Neem Karoli Baba was born at Akbarpur in presentday UP, probably around 1900 AD. At a very young age he went to Gujarat where he lived at a place called Bavania, by the side of a lake at a little temple.
