A private detective (Vishal) is waiting for an interesting case. Meanwhile, mysterious deaths happen continuously. A kid asks the detective to find the murderer of his dog. The detective takes up the case and collects clues which are interrelated with the murder of the pet dog and in the process uncovers a series of bizarre and seemingly unrelated crimes.

Early on, we get a strange shot of our very own Thupparivaalan (Detective) Kaniyan Poongundran (Vishal) grumbling about not being able to find a challenging case. It's not the desperation we see, but exasperation.
