(1001) Film jsem neviděla v době vzniku, ale teď můžu s klidem říct, že úplně šíleně zestárl. Ani původní "meč a sandály" filmy mě nijak zvlášť neberou, respektive údiv z kinematografie si představuji jinak než jako snahu filmařů postavit co největší kulisy, a Gladiátor není schopen projevit jakoukoliv reflexi, posun či sebeuvědomění oproti svým předchůdcům.
