I just checked the prices on two Claudia Fleming cookbooks and they were way above Booktopia prices (Au$14 and Au$11 more) This is only one example - during the last few years some of the BD prices have been extraordinarily high, to the point where they were laughable!

Apr 14, 2023 · Book Depository was riding high on the online bookstore wave indeed and in 2011, Amazon decided to rid themselves of this pain in their side by buying them outright for an undisclosed sum of money.
Its totally legit, as long as you know they don't ship books together and it takes a few weeks. I ordered 8 books at once and all 8 came on separate sequential days. Book Depository is owned (and operated as far as I know), by Amazon themselves. I live in Canada and have made multiple purchases from Book Depository.
