It is subject to train and berth availability. Once confirmed in Alternate train, Cancellation charges will be as per your berth/train status in alternate train.

Under this scheme, passengers can opt for maximum 7 trains and can be availed by even waiting list passengers. Choosing for this scheme doesn’t necessarily mean that confirmed berth will be provided to the passengers in alternate train.
Mar 23, 2023 · The passengers have the option for getting shifted to a train whose time of departure is upto 72 hours from the date and time for which the original ticket has been booked. The passengers who have not opted for VIKALP at the time of booking can also opt for VIKALP upto 24 hours before scheduled departure of train.
