Biography Bhim Singh (M’99–SM’99–F’10) received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Roorkee, Roorkee, India, and the M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 1977, 1979, and 1983, respectively.

Bhimsingh, Lenin entered the film industry as an assistant editor and went on to work in numerous projects before making his debut as an independent editor with Mahendran's Uthiripookkal (1979).
