For Nickelodeon, she was a voice actres on Doug, in which she voiced Loretta Lequigly, Elaine Perigrew, and Miss Mimi.

Fran was the first female hired as a puppeteer on Sesame Street. During her long career with the show, this Emmy Award-winning performer has performed the characters of Prairie Dawn, Zoe, Little Bird, Polly Darton, Mrs. Crustworthy, Elmo's mom, Scottish Mary of "Mary had a Little Lamb", Bo Peep, Roxy Marie, the Countess, and many others.
