Naan Mahaan Alla - 7.5/10. Suseenthiran’s NMA is an interesting movie that shifts its tone quite drastically at certain moments. Its apparently based on real events and features a super dark subplot. But the main plot of Karthi trying to work and fall in love and deal with family issues is what makes this movie so nice. It was genuinely funny and interesting, and also a movie that showed some heightened realism in these sequences.
Sep 22, 2011 · Naan Mahaan Alla is the fourth film release for Karthik Sivakumar (aka Karthi) and the second for writer director Susindran. The film starts off as a romance but ends up as more of a crime thriller, with Karthi’s character the main connecting factor. As such, it’s very much a film of two halves and I find it disjointed as a result. However there are some good moments as Karthi puts in a strong performance and Kajal is entertaining while she is around.
