Master of Technology. For admission to the MTech Programme, a candidate must have a Four-year Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 6.0 CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) on 10-point scale (or 60% aggregate marks). The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. The full fledged campus sprawls over 285 hectares of gently undulating terrain with several hillocks covered with lush green vegetation, a few lakes and a panoramic view of the mighty river on one side and a ring of blue hills on the other.
