Welham Boys’ School is a secular school, and any parent in disagreement may withdraw his child. All new admissions are on probation for a year. Students who make little progress owing to persistent idleness or other reasons may be asked to leave the School at the end of term. The School reserves the right of refusing admission / readmission.
Boarding. For many young boys this is very often the first step into boarding life. As they grow, they cherish fond memories of the formative years spent in the Junior School. Students of grades 4 to 6 live here. The Junior Residence comprises three hostels, Students continue to live in Junior Residence until they move to Middle School.
Welham Boys’ School started life as Welham Preparatory School way back in 1937, when Ms. Oliphant invested her humble capital and started the School in a rented building, which she called White House. Later, she rented another building Bethany that today is our dining hall.
